Here is what the gable looks like after my roofer's repair guy put his fix on it. I know this is not right! Just imagine the air conditioner is right below where the standing seam on the gable actually ends. With no gable trim water was pouring off that edge right down into the a/c. At the time of my original post I was dealing with a VP of the company. I have since escalated my complaints to the owner of the company and when he came out to look at my problems he was horrified at the quality of the workmanship. They had used a sub for my roof. We are also having problems with a skylight that was botched up on the install and the roof is leaking at a transition. All that said, I still have flying gables and would like to see gable trim details that would prevent any water falling off those gables and divert water down to the ends where the gutters are. The house has this type of gable over several high traffic areas and I want to insure the new install addresses the problem. Any ideas would be appreciated.
